New Staff

Dearly Beloved,

There are a lot of work being done behind the scenes, especially in the area of Administration.  Given that more assistance is needed in the Parish Office, Ms. Talyn Budnik has agreed to step forward and assume the role of Administrative Assistant.

She is quite talented, and knowledgeable in things of admin, and adaptable to acquire new knowledge when necessary.  She is a spirited individual, and loves to serve Christ.

I would like to officially welcome her on board as we begin the new calendar year, as our new Administrative Assistant.  I'm confident that she will do well to serve Christ here at St Mary Parish.  Please join me in welcoming the "Talented Talyn."

St Nicholas Advent Festival

Thank-you again for all of your hard work in making SNAF 2013 a resounding success. The final count is $ 9083.00 for the Liturgy. This certainly exceeds our expectations and once again shows that the people of St Mary Parish are a very generous group.

While the event is still fresh in our minds submit your Lessons learned to me and I will consolidate for discussion at the next Merry maker meeting in January.

Have a blessed and Happy Christmas !

St Nicholas Advent Festival

Dearly Beloved,

Every year we had the annual St Nicholas Advent Festival.  And it has always been an auction.  But this year, members of the St Merrymakers made it different by offering a complementary meal and inviting people to make donations towards the liturgy.

It was once said that The Lord drove out the money changers at the Temple of Jerusalem.  Because they were making the Temple as a marketplace rather than a place of prayer, a place to worship and honor God, a place to be the light to all the nations.

As I reflected upon this year, and the trust that St Merrymakers decided to do, I'm very impressed and it has certainly taught me the importance of being generous.  Because generosity breeds generosity.  I pray that you will be generous in helping the parish with the Liturgy program, so that we can together work towards making the parish, not a marketplace, but a place of prayer.

Thank you for helping us to preserve the integrity of the purpose of our parish.  Thank you and God bless you.
